About MFP

Mobile First Practitioners (MFP) is a non-profit organization with 600+ members worldwide. These members include company founders, managing directors, and senior managers of some of today's top companies, such as PayPal, Amazon.com, and S5 Mobile Systems. It was founded by Yash Talreja, chief operating officer of S5 Mobile Systems, a leading provider of custom mobile apps.

The MFP group is held together by the firm belief that mobile devices are the Web devices of the future. Our communal goal is to prepare for that future by exchanging ideas and best practices for designing Web sites and applications with a mobile browser in mind.

Our main venue for congregation is at the Mobile First Practitioners group page on LinkedIn. We also get together once a month in Silicon Valley, so that we can have face-to-face discussions, live presentations, and a cold drink or two. Discussion topics generally revolve around how to develop, market, and monetize mobile-first apps. Our brick-and-mortar headquarters is based in Palo Alto, California.
